We’ve joined forces with Penda Photo Tours to bring you one seriously awesome competition. Going on an African Safari is the experience of a lifetime – there’s nothing quite like seeing and photographing the majestic wildlife that lives there – and I don’t think there is one photographer that hasn’t dreamt of doing this. This is your chance to make that dream a reality. We’re giving away an 8-day photo safari experience in South Africa worth over £3,000! Yes, you heard that right.

Our competition is free to enter, and you can do so using the widget below. If you can’t see it for any reason, then you can enter on this page too. The winner will be drawn at random from all the entries, and you gain additional entries by completing each action shown in the widget below. The more actions you complete, the more entries you have into the draw!
The competition ends on the 30th June 2017 at 23:59 UK time. We’ll draw the winner, at random, and announce it within 14 days of the competition closing.
The Prize
Did we mention this is a Photo Safari worth over £3,000? Enjoy close encounters with lions and leopards, photograph herds of elephants, drink sun-downers under acacia trees, and get professional photographic tutoring during this exclusive photo safari. Set in an exclusive private game reserve in the Greater Kruger, this trip is a wildlife photographer’s dream. The area is known for its incredible sightings of the African Big Five, including the elusive leopard. In addition, you’ll visit several wildlife centres, where you’ll be able to photograph wildlife from unique and up-close angles. Throughout the workshop, you’ll be accompanied by professional wildlife photographer Alan Hewitt, who will provide personal tutoring and help you become the best photographer you can be. The safari package you could win includes:
- Accommodation at Galago Lodge in Djuma Private Game Reserve and a bush lodge near Hoedspruit. We will have exclusive use of both lodges. (Accommodation is on a double occupancy basis. Please enquire about single supplements – they might be available.)
- Three meals a day on day 5 to 9, and breakfast and dinner on day 1 to 4
- All game drives at Djuma in private open game drive vehicles, accompanied by professional guides and trackers
- Photographic tutoring by Alan Hewitt

- Airport transfers from Hoedspruit Airport

Alan Hewitt is a wildlife and conservation photographer, writer, and workshop leader. Driven by his appreciation for and fascination of wildlife, Alan aims to document our natural world and use this as a tool for conservation.
