Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favourite to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to encourage yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.

Week 276: Details

Our theme this week is Details, and we’d love to see how you can capture the tiny details in nature on camera. There are small examples of beautiful details to be found everywhere in the natural world. Perhaps you will look in a local garden for the interesting parts of flowers, or even insects. Maybe you will photograph the feathers or fur of your favourite wildlife species. Look for interesting textures, patterns and colours that you can include in your images. Whether you’re a seasoned nature photographer, or are new to the genre, the options for capturing new and interesting photos of nature details are endless, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring shots you can create.

Please keep images under 2MB in size otherwise you may have difficulty uploading them.

This week’s winner is this image, captured by Flynn Thaitanunde-Lob.

A beautiful capture that showcases the theme of ‘weather’ in a new and interesting way. Clouds make fantastic photography subjects, and the creative composition of this image is engaging and dynamic. The decision to use black and white helps to enhance the contrast in the scene, and allows the highlights and shadows to work at maximum impact. Well done, and thank you to all who entered!
