Week 303: The Colour Yellow
Our theme this week is The Colour Yellow, and we’d love to see what fantastic photos you can create using this colour found in nature. This week we’d like to encourage you to look for yellow out in the natural world. It can be found in many places…perhaps you will photograph the centre of a flower, or a bee in flight, or even choose to look for ‘yellow’ or golden light in the early morning or late evening! If it is autumn in your area, you may be able to capture golden yellow leaves. Whether you’re a seasoned nature photographer, or are new to the genre, the options for awesome images featuring the colour yellow are endless, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring images you can create.

Last week’s theme was Patterns and Textures – and our favourite image this week is:
This week’s winner is this image, captured by Zoltán Dobány: ‘I photographed this mushroom on a recently fallen tree trunk. I have never seen it in this form before. It was probably completely turned over by the tilt.’
This is a fantastic image, highlighting what can be achieved with a focus in on patterns and texture in nature; a highly intriguing composition and subject, with a clever, thoughtful use of light and shadow. Well done, and thank you to all who entered!
