Weekly Photography Assignment: The Colour Blue

Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favourite to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to encourage yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.

It can be found everywhere in nature – in some very obvious places, (think bodies of water or the sky), and some not-so-obvious ones too, (bird feathers or insect wings). But whether you’re a seasoned nature photographer, or a total newbie, the options for nature images featuring the colour blue are endless, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring photos you can create.

Here are some tutorials to help you:

Last week’s theme was Summer Wildlife  – and our favourite image this week is:

This week’s winner is this image captured by Parham Pourahmad. A fox in its summer coat looking very beautiful! The moment captured makes us think of the ‘Blue Steel’ look from the movie Zoolander. It’s a great, sharp portrait with a lovely clean bokeh. Well done.
