Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favourite to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to force yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.

Week 158: Night

Our theme this week is Night and we’d love to see what creative nature images you can take at night! Perhaps you will photograph plants under torch light? Maybe you will experiment with long exposure to capture the stars? Or perhaps you’ll use the moon to backlight a subject like a bird in a tree? The options are endless, and we can’t wait to see what creative nighttime nature photos you can take.

Please keep images under 2MB in size otherwise you may have difficulty uploading them.

Photos must be your own work
Please enter no more than 3 photos per week
Please only enter photos taken within the week of the assignment
Include a description with your photo and tell us a bit about it!

Last week’s theme was Animal Portraits – and our favourite image this week is:

This week’s winner is by Jorge Russo with ”Junior and Mother.” We love how the focus and framing of this portrait draws our eyes towards the engaging subject matter of the young monkey’s face. Emotion and expression have been captured in this pose, as well as active behaviors. Well done Jorge, and thank you to all who entered for the amazing images this week!
