Weekly Photography Assignment: Mammals

Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favourite to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to force yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.

Week 132: Mammals

Our theme this week is Mammals. Though they can be difficult to find, you will be surprised what you can achieve when you really start to look! This week we’d like to see what photos you can get of mammals. Good luck!

Last Week’s Favourite

Here is our favourite submission from last week’s theme, Look Up. You can view all of the entries here.

This week’s winning photo is by Stephen Cowen. We really like the minimalist feel of this image. There is an interesting contrast between the straight lines of the lamp posts and cctv camera surrounded by the scattered shapes of the gulls. Stephen has used the theme of look-up to show only a specific part of this scene, but we still get a sense that is in an urban area. The clouds in the background add yet more interest, and give it a dreamy look. Great job Stephen!
