Weekly Photography Assignment: Water
Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our two favourites to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to force yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.
Week 5: Water
Our theme this week is Water. Interpret the theme how you wish! This could cover all fields of nature photography.

I chose this image because of the sharp focus, shown by the beautiful details in the fur highlighted by the strong backlighting. The variation in colour tones through the grasses works nicely and adds more interest into the foreground. Bob has also properly exposed the subject itself, which can be challenging when also trying to expose for the rim lighting.
I think this photo encompasses the backlighting theme entirely. It not only has rim lighting, but some very strong colours from a low sun. Will has done well to expose this shot properly and it looks truly magical with the various shadows cast through the haze. Great work.
