Weekly Photography Assignment: The Colour Brown
Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favourite to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to force yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.
Week 151: The Colour Brown
Our theme this week is The Colour Brown and we’d love to see what images you can create capturing the rich shades of brown found in nature with your camera! It’s not everyone’s favourite colour, but it is found throughout the natural world in so many forms! Will you photograph the bark on a tree? Or will you take a macro lens to the remnants of dying autumn leaves? Perhaps you will photograph an animal with brown fur, such as a deer or rabbit or even a bird of prey? The options are endless, and we can’t wait to see what photos you can take to celebrate the colour brown in nature.

Last week’s winner
Last week’s theme was Long Exposure – and our favourite image this week is:
This week’s winner is by Parham Pourahmad. ‘A slow shutter speed allowed me to capture the movement of the feathers of this long eared owl. He was wet from all of the fog in the early morning.’ We love the misty feel of this image and the way the face of the owl is in focus while the chest is blurred – it draws our attention to the right spot. Well done and thank you for all of the fantastic entries last week!
