Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favourite to be featured on the Nature TTL website.

Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to encourage yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.

Week 242: Streams

We’d love to see what inspired stream images you can take! What are the characteristics of the streams in your area? Have a think this week on how you might be able to capture them with your camera. If the water is flowing rapidly, maybe you’ll have a go at long exposure techniques to capture the movement. If you’re experiencing calmer waters, or even a dried-up stream bed, what details can you capture that might showcase these aspects?

See how photographing at different times of day affects the kinds of images you are able to capture, like the way light plays on the water or shadows cast by the surrounding landscape.

Whether you’re a seasoned landscape photographer, or are new to the genre, the options for stream photographs are endless, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring images you can create.
