Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favourite to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to encourage yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.

Week 177: Night

Our theme this week is Night, and we’d love to see what creative nature photographs you can create at night! Perhaps you will photograph your favorite urban wildlife species under cover of darkness, or take a torch out to photograph flowers in the moonlight, or even try long exposure techniques to capture the stars. Maybe you’ll even have a go at creating star trails! Whether you’re a seasoned nature photographer, or a total newbie, the options are endless, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring nature photos you can create at night.

Please keep images under 2MB in size otherwise you may have difficulty uploading them.

This week’s winner is this image, captured by disqus_axF8LIMsq3. We love the way this portrait absolutely fills the frame – the effect is dramatic and engaging, and makes us feel as though we are there experiencing the moment with the photographer. The detail and use of depth of field in this image are also highly effect and add to the immersive effect. Well done, and thank you to all who entered!
