Weekly Photography Assignment: Minimalistic

Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favourite to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to encourage yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.
Week 237: Minimalistic
Our theme this week is Minimalistic, and we’d love to see what minimalist-inspired creative nature images you can take! Perhaps you will photograph a lone animal against a simple backdrop, drawing our attention to the subject in question? Maybe you will photograph a landscape in black and white, with simple lines and shapes? Or perhaps you’ll get down to ground level and find a minimalistic pattern or detail with your macro lens? Whether you’re a seasoned nature photographer, or are new to the genre, the options for awesome minimalistic nature photographs are endless, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring images you can create.

Last week’s winner
Last week’s theme was Black and White Wildlife – and our favourite image this week is:
This week’s winner is this image, captured by Pam Mullins: We love this beautifully composed black and white wildlife portrait! The lighter tonal qualities of the background work very well against the dark coat of the subject, and the framing draws our eyes towards the most important part of the image; the animal’s eyes. Well done, and thank you to all who entered!
