Weekly Photography Assignment: Foreground

Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our two favourites to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to force yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.

Week 51: Foreground

Our theme this week is Foreground. In light of our new composition video on our YouTube channel, this week’s theme is foreground. For landscape photographers, work on introducing powerful foreground to create depth in your shot (make sure to watch the video). For wildlife photographers, look at introducing a nice, soft foreground to your images.

Submit Your Photo

To enter your photo to this assignment, add it in the comments below this post. By submitting your photo, you are giving us permission to feature your photo the following week if it is chosen as one of our favourites.

Last Week’s Favourite

Here is our favourite entry from last week’s submission, Wind! You can view all of the entries here.

This image from Andy shows the storm winds coming in at Porthleven in Cornwall, UK. The storm battered the seaside town with waves, and it’s awesome to see the sheer force of nature at work here. Great shot!
