NiSi Unveils 15mm f/4 Sunstar Lens for Mirrorless
NiSi Optics has launched the 15mm f/4 Sunstar – a manual, full-frame, wide-angle lens. It is available in Sony E, Nikon Z, Canon RF, and Fujifilm X mounts.
This rugged lens is made up of an all-metal construction and has a 10 blade diaphragm, capable of creating signature “sun stars” throughout the entire range.
The new NiSi 15mm f/4 Sunstar combines a compact form factor with an ultra-wide field of view, making it well-suited for landscape, seascape, and night sky photography.
The lens is built up of 12 elements in 10 groups, including aspherical and low dispersion elements, to achieve an image with minimal chromatic aberration and vignetting.
The glass also boasts anti-reflection technology to maximise light transmittance and reduce flare.
This lens is built with the outdoor photographer in mind, particularly with its rugged, all-metal construction. NiSi claim that this “hard surface coating technology improves the toughness and waterproofing of glass elements.”
At only 470g, with a diameter of 75.6mm and a length of 80.5mm, this tough little lens is packed into a compact design.
The NiSi 15mm f/4 can now be ordered at nisiopticsusa.com, with the Sony E mount and Canon RF mount already shipping and the Nikon Z mount available for pre-order (scheduled to be shipped from February 26th).
