Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favourite to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to encourage yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.

Week 178: The Colour Green

Our theme this week is The Colour Green, and we’d love to see what creative nature photographs you can create using this stunning colour! Green is found everywhere in nature; perhaps you will photograph the canopy of trees, or use a macro lens for the stunning green details of leaves. Perhaps you’ll look for green in the eyes of your favourite wildlife or bird species. Whether you’re a seasoned nature photographer, or a total newbie, the options are endless, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring nature photos you can create incorporating the colour green.

Last week’s winner

Last week’s theme was Night – and our favourite image this week is:

This week’s winner is this image, captured by Aarthi Lingala: ‘Although it may look like one, this is not actually a night photo. It looks like a hill and tree with sunset clouds and stars. However, this is actually the reflection of a tree, cloud, and grass on a puddle. The effect of the stars is made by the minerals on the road.’ This was a unique and creative response to the set theme of ‘night,’ and we admire the creativity and thought that went into composing this image. It is interesting and artistic, and an example of how we can always create ‘new’ images when we get some inspiration! Well done, and thank you to all who entered!
