Weekly Photography Assignment: Snow

Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our two favourites to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to force yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.

Week 72: Snow

Our theme this week is Snow. We’ve had some crazy weather around the world for the last few weeks. I think it’s time to have one final snow theme for this season, and for this week feel free to post photos you shot in the last 3 weeks. It’ll be great to see what everyone managed!

Submit Your Photo

To enter your photo to this assignment, add it in the comments below this post. By submitting your photo, you are giving us permission to feature your photo the following week if it is chosen as one of our favourites.

Last Week’s Favourite

Here is our favourite from last week’s theme, Sunrises & Sunsets. You can view all the entries here.

This image shows a sunset in Torres del Paine, Chile, and is composed beautifully. The colours in the sky look like they’ve been painted on, and the water in the foreground adds a lot more depth to the image. I love the contrast between the crystal clear pool, and then the more disturbed water behind it. A good angle for the camera too – not too low, ensuring that the depth is not lost.

Good luck!
