Nature TTL POTY 2020 Closes for Entries
The first-ever Nature TTL Photographer of the Year competition has now closed for entries. The 2020 competition saw 7,000 entries come in from 117 different countries, and the judges have a tough decision ahead of them.
I had always wanted to run a nature photography competition with Nature TTL, but doing so is a big undertaking. However, we’re now coming up to our 6th year of operation and it felt like the perfect time to launch our inaugural competition.
The response from our readers, and photographers new to the website too, has been more than I had hoped. It has been fantastic seeing all of the entries flying in and being able to enjoy the hard work of all the wildlife, landscape, and macro photographers that read our website.
Many of you have been with us since the beginning, back in 2014, when Nature TTL published its first article. Now we are here, almost 6 years later, and bigger than ever. The Nature TTL Photographer of the Year competition will now be an annual venture, and is the perfect way to celebrate the work of our readers – old and new!
A big thank you to this year’s judges: Mark Carwardine, Margot Raggett, Ross Hoddinott, and Drew Buckley. I will also be joining the judging panel… how could I resist?!
Our sponsors this year have made it all possible. Skylum have supported the Overall Winner, with category support from WEX Photo Video, Zenfolio, Think Tank Photo, and F-Stop Gear.
So now the judging begins, and we will have the winners ready to announce late March this year. I know that I am excited to see who will take the first-ever Nature TTL crown – alongside the £1,000 prize money.
Thank you to all who have participated this year and made this dream come true. Here’s to many more years!
