This is What Happens When You Get Too Close to an Alligator

This video was recorded by Ben Boukari, taken on the La Chua Trail at Paynes Prairie in Gainesville, Florida.

It’s the perfect example of what happens when photographers don’t think about ethics and get far too close for comfort.

“This guy got off of the trail and decided to try and get a closer look a mama gator and the babies,” says Ben. Ben remained on the boardwalk, at a safe distance from the water’s edge, but the star of the show had other ideas.

Instead of trying to capture macro photos of the alligator’s eye, a bit of practical thinking would’ve done wonders!
