The point is to have fun, challenge yourself as a photographer and have an unforgettable experience – coming away with not only amazing images, but also with new knowledge and understanding.
Discover the enchanting and vast Namib Desert during a landscape photography workshop! A bucket list destination for landscape photographers if ever there was one. This traveling workshop is held by two professional enthusiastic photographers, Emil von Maltitz and Nick van de Wiel, who will again be leading a 13-day adventure tour to some of Namibia’s most incredible scenic icons.
This tour is not your usual relaxed holiday! It is for serious photographers and photography enthusiasts who are keen to take their skills to the next level. You can expect to be capturing images of the magical Quiver Tree Forest, the mighty Fish River Canyon, and the old abandoned mining town at Kolmanskop. The tour also includes a “Compose The Dunes” Workshop at the famous red sand dunes of Sossus and Dead Vlei, in the Namib desert. We’ll conclude our workshop by photographing the fiery monolithic Spitzkoppe Mountains.
This Namibia photo tour is an experience you will never forget!

We’re proud to offer a great instructor to participant ratio, which maximises your learning experience with plenty of one on one tutorship sessions. So there’s no need to worry about your level of experience as a photographer; whether you’re a beginner, an intermediate photographer, or a (semi) professional; all levels are catered for.
You will also learn creative composition through advanced techniques of digital landscape photography and astrophotography. If you are interested, we can also teach you how to paint with light, create panoramas and time lapses. There will also be post-production edit sessions with Photoshop and Lightroom.

“A fan-bloody-tastic tour. The level of tuition was outstanding, with Nick and Emil making themselves always available. Nick with his unflappable attention to tour details and logistics, his concern for guests’ comfort and enjoyment. Emil with his exuberant and ever present photographer’s admiration of every vista that this magnificent country presents, his unending enthusiasm, and his phenomenal knowledge of photography. Enjoyment level 10 of out 10.”
