Nonprofit Photography Internship, Cape Town

If you are a keen photographer and you’d like to gain some unique experience and sharpen your skills, this photography internship in Cape Town could be a great opportunity for you! You’ll have the chance to learn new skills, and at the same time understand the true potential of photography to support important causes. Guided by a humanitarian photographer, you’ll be documenting the work of local nonprofits through your lens, and donate images to these causes. As an intern, you will also get involved in the day to day running of a photographic organization. Your tasks can include communications and logistics, writing blogs, helping manage social media, assisting with fundraising, or helping coordinate our programs.

Professional photographer Anna Lusty will have regular sessions with you, to help you improve your technical photography skills, analyse your work and learn more about nonprofit photography.

You’ll be part of Penda Trust, a nonprofit organisation that uses photography as a tool to drive positive change, which will provide you with guidance throughout your whole experience. You can do this photography internship for 4 to 12 weeks and there’s a maximum of three interns at a time. Do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your preferred dates!
